Ingredients
  

For the syrup
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup golden syrup
  • 50 g butter
  • 2 cups water
For the dumpling mixture
  • 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour You can substitute with plain flour plus 2 teaspoons of baking powder.
  • 1/2 cup lemonade
  • 1/2 cup cream For serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Combine the brown sugar, golden syrup, butter, and water in a saucepan. Heat on the stove and bring the mixture to a boil.
  2. Carefully pour the syrup into your slow cooker.
  3. In a bowl, gently mix the self-raising flour and lemonade to form a dough.
  4. Roll the dough into balls, about 4 cm in size, and drop them into the syrup in the slow cooker.
  5. Cover the slow cooker and cook on high for 60 to 90 minutes.
Serving
  1. Serve the dumplings warm with vanilla ice cream or a dollop of cream on top.

Notes
