Ingredients

  • 3 cups peeled and cubed potatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cube chicken bouillon
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded American cheese
  • 1 cup chopped ham

Instructions

  • In a large stock pot, combine the peeled and cubed potatoes, chopped celery, chopped onion, chicken bouillon cube, water, and dried parsley flakes.
  • Season the mixture with salt and pepper, then simmer until the vegetables become tender.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the flour and milk until well blended.
  • Once the vegetables are tender, add the flour and milk mixture to the soup. Cook until the soup thickens.
