Ingredients

For the Cookies
  • 200 g chocolate chunk cookies You can substitute with gingerbread cookies for a spiced twist.
For the Decorations
  • 175 g icing sugar Sift before mixing with water.
  • 9 pieces regular-sized marshmallows Fresh marshmallows work best for a fluffy ghost appearance.
  • 1 tube black writing icing For creating faces on the ghost marshmallows.

Method

Preparation
  1. Sift the icing sugar into a large bowl. Add 5 teaspoons of water and mix until you achieve a thick but pourable consistency.
  2. Prepare your workspace by laying out the cookies on a sheet of baking paper or a wooden board.
  3. Dip the marshmallows: One by one, dip the bottoms into the icing. Place each marshmallow at the center of a cookie.
Decoration
  1. Using a spoon, carefully pour the white icing over each marshmallow, allowing it to drizzle down the sides of the cookie for a spooky effect.
  2. Allow the cookies to set, then use the black writing icing to create eyes and a mouth on each marshmallow ghost.

Notes

These cookies can be arranged on a colorful platter. Pair them with cold milk or warm apple cider for a cozy fall feeling. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days, or freeze for longer storage.
