Ingredients

Main ingredients

  • 450 g medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed
  • 450 g spaghetti, uncooked
  • 6-8 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 60 ml unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • Italian seasoning, to preference
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Red pepper flakes, to taste
  • Fine sea salt, to taste
  • Fresh herbs, optional, chopped, to taste

Instructions

Cooking

  • Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the butter over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  • Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Season with Italian seasoning, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt.
  • Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss well to coat.
  • Drizzle with remaining olive oil and add fresh herbs if using.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

For the best flavor, use fresh garlic instead of garlic powder. Make sure not to overcook the shrimp; they cook quickly and can become tough. Feel free to add vegetables like spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra nutrition and color. Leftovers can be kept in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat gently before serving.
