Ingredients
  

Pasta and Shrimp
  • 450 g medium shrimp, deveined and tails removed
  • 450 g spaghetti, uncooked
Cooking Essentials
  • 6-8 cloves garlic, finely minced Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
  • 60 ml unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • to preference Italian seasoning
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • to taste red pepper flakes
  • to taste fine sea salt
  • to taste fresh herbs, optional, chopped

Method
 

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Cooking the Shrimp
  1. In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil and the butter over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Season with Italian seasoning, black pepper, red pepper flakes, and salt.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Add the cooked spaghetti to the skillet and toss well to coat.
  2. Drizzle with remaining olive oil and add fresh herbs if using.
  3. Serve immediately.
