For the shrimp
  • 1 pound raw shrimp (cleaned, peeled, and deveined)
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided, or ½ stick)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste Fresh garlic can be used for more flavor
  • 1 tablespoon chili pepper paste (or red pepper paste) Adjust to desired spice level
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes Adjust to taste
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by heating 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet set over medium-high heat.
  2. While the butter melts, season the shrimp with salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Toss the seasoned shrimp into the skillet, then add in the garlic paste and chili pepper paste. Stir until everything combines.
  4. Cook for 4-5 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque.
  5. Stir in the lemon juice and the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, ensuring everything is well combined.
  6. Sprinkle with dried parsley and serve hot.

Notes
