Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts Cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter Divided into two tablespoons for cooking and one for the sauce
  • 8 ounces fettuccine or linguine Or your pasta of choice
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • optional Fresh parsley For garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Prepare your ingredients: mince the garlic and cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter.
  2. Once hot, add the chicken in a single layer and cook until golden brown and no longer pink inside, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add in the minced garlic, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and the remaining tablespoon of butter. Next, fold in the grated Parmesan to form a creamy sauce.
  5. Meanwhile, cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Don’t forget to reserve a bit of pasta water before draining.
  6. Combine the drained pasta with the chicken and sauce in the skillet. Add reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
Serving
  1. Plate the pasta in shallow bowls, ensuring that each serving has a good amount of chicken and sauce.
  2. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for color and freshness.

Notes

Consider adding a side salad with a tangy vinaigrette or some crusty garlic bread to enjoy with the creamy pasta. For an extra creamy sauce, stir in a bit more heavy cream or use full-fat sour cream.
