  • 1 lb sea scallops, cleaned and patted dry Fresh scallops are recommended for the best flavor.
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted Use unsalted butter for better control of seasoning.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic will provide the best flavor.
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice Freshly squeezed lemon juice is preferred.

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
  • Place the scallops in a baking dish and pour the garlic butter mixture over them.

Cooking

  • Bake the scallops for about 10-12 minutes or until they are opaque and cooked through.
  • Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

Make sure to pat the scallops dry to help them brown nicely in the oven. Keep an eye on them while baking to prevent overcooking.
