  • 1 lb sea scallops, cleaned and patted dry
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic will give the best flavor.
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, and lemon juice.
  • Place the scallops in a baking dish and pour the garlic butter mixture over them.

Cooking

  • Bake the scallops for about 10-12 minutes or until they are opaque and cooked through.
  • Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.

Notes

Make sure to pat the scallops dry to help them brown nicely in the oven. Keep an eye on the scallops while baking, as overcooking can make them tough. You can add different herbs or spices to the garlic butter mixture for an extra kick.
