Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound pizza dough store-bought or homemade, room temperature for easy rolling
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 cup cooked sausage, crumbled
  • 1/2 cup bell peppers, diced any color
  • 1/4 cup onion, diced
  • 1/4 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 cup black olives, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for brushing
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • Parmesan cheese for topping
  • Marinara sauce for dipping

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Lightly flour a work surface. Roll the pizza dough into a roughly 12×8-inch rectangle.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine mozzarella, pepperoni, crumbled sausage, bell peppers, onion, mushrooms, and olives. Add garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and a pinch each of salt and pepper. Toss until evenly mixed.
  4. Spread the filling in an even layer across the dough, leaving a small border on one long side to help seal.
  5. Starting from the opposite long side, roll the dough tightly into a log. Pinch the seam and the ends to seal so the filling doesn’t leak.
  6. Transfer the roll onto the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle generously with Parmesan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25–30 minutes, until the crust is deep golden and sounds hollow when tapped. If the top browns too quickly, tent with foil.
  2. Let the loaf rest for 5 minutes to set the cheese, then slice and serve warm with marinara sauce for dipping.

Notes

For a vegetarian version, omit pepperoni and sausage and add roasted zucchini or artichoke hearts. You can use pre-cooked and pre-shredded ingredients to cut assembly time. Store leftover slices in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days.
