Preparation
- Using a hand mixer or a stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the apricot spread and balsamic vinegar. Add all of the berries and gently toss to coat.
Assembly
- In a large trifle dish (or in individual glasses), build the trifle in alternating layers of the whipped cream, ladyfingers, berry mixture, and sour cherry spread.
- Repeat the layers until you reach the top. Finish with a lush layer of the whipped cream.
