Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with turkey or a plant-based alternative.
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 can French onion soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup (10.5 oz) Can swap for cream of chicken or cheese soup.
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice, uncooked Use long-grain for best texture.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until it's fully browned. Drain any excess fat.
  3. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until it’s soft and translucent.
  4. Stir in the French onion soup, cream of mushroom soup, beef broth, uncooked rice, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased casserole dish.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the dish is heated through.
  8. Allow the casserole to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy!
