Preparation
- Grease a 9" x 13" casserole dish with butter to prevent sticking.
- In a large pot, melt 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter over medium-low heat.
- Once the butter is melted, add the 10 oz of mini marshmallows and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.
- Pour in the 6 cups of rice krispie cereal and mix thoroughly with a spatula until every piece is coated.
- Spoon the mixture into the prepared dish and press down with your hands or spatula to create an even layer.
- Allow to cool for about 30 minutes until firm.
- Once set, remove the treats from the dish and cut them into fun rectangles.
- Melt the 10 oz of green candy melts in a bowl over a pot of boiling water, stirring until smooth, adding a teaspoon of vegetable shortening if necessary.
- Dip the top of each treat into the melted green candy melts and sprinkle with black jimmies. Finish by placing two royal icing eyes on each treat.
- Melt the black candy melts in the microwave, fill a piping bag and pipe stitches on the treats.
- Allow the decorated treats to set completely before enjoying or packaging.
