Feta & Olive Bread Sticks

Ingredients
  

Dough Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 each egg (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions
 

Preparing the Dough

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the Greek yogurt and olive oil to the flour mixture, stirring until combined.
  • Fold in the crumbled feta cheese, chopped Kalamata olives, and dried oregano until evenly mixed.
  • Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently until it comes together. Don't overwork the dough!
  • Roll out the dough to about 1/2 inch thick, then cut it into strips.
  • Place the bread sticks on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the sticks. If you like, sprinkle sesame seeds on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the sticks are golden brown and cooked through.
  • Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy the feta & olive bread sticks warm!

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days; freeze for longer storage.
