Ingredients
  

For the Burrata
  • 2 balls burrata balls (125g each) Delicate cheese that should be handled gently.
  • 1/2 cup plain flour
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 3/4 cup panko Japanese breadcrumbs for a crunchy coating.
  • 2 tbsp Everything Bagel mix
  • Oil for shallow frying Ensure oil is hot enough before frying.
For the Spicy Tomato Jam
  • 250 g cherry tomatoes Fresh cherry tomatoes for the jam.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp soft brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp vinegar (red wine or balsamic)
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes Adjust according to heat preference.
  • Pinch of salt
  • Chives, microgreens, or more bagel seasoning for garnish For serving.

Method
 

Making the Spicy Tomato Jam
  1. In a pan, cook the cherry tomatoes with olive oil, minced garlic, brown sugar, vinegar, chili flakes, and salt over medium heat until the mixture thickens, about 20 minutes. Let cool after cooking.
Preparing the Burrata
  1. Freeze the burrata for 15 minutes to prevent bursting during frying.
  2. Dredge the burrata in flour, dip it in the beaten egg, and then coat it in panko mixed with Everything Bagel mix.
Frying the Burrata
  1. In a hot pan with oil, fry the coated burrata for 1–2 minutes per side until golden and crisp. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
Serving
  1. Remove the burrata and place it on a plate. Serve with spoonfuls of the spicy tomato jam beside it. Garnish with chives, microgreens, or more bagel seasoning.

Notes
