Ingredients
  

  • - 1 egg beaten
  • - 1 cup eggnog
  • - 2 tbsp white sugar
  • - 2 pinches ground nutmeg

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place an 8x8-inch baking dish with 1 inch of water.
  • In a bowl, mix beaten egg, eggnog, and sugar. Pour into two small baking dishes. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
  • Place the smaller baking dishes into the larger one with water, ensuring water reaches halfway up the sides.
  • Bake until custard tops are set, about 35-45 minutes. Cool before serving.

Notes

- Ensure water level in the larger baking dish is maintained to prevent custard from drying out.
- For richer flavor, use homemade eggnog.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature, garnished with whipped cream if desired.
