Ingredients
  

  • - 1 egg beaten
  • - 1 cup eggnog
  • - 2 tbsp white sugar
  • - 2 pinches ground nutmeg

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place an 8x8-inch baking dish with 1 inch of water.
  2. In a bowl, mix beaten egg, eggnog, and sugar. Pour into two small baking dishes. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
  3. Place the smaller baking dishes into the larger one with water, ensuring water reaches halfway up the sides.
  4. Bake until custard tops are set, about 35-45 minutes. Cool before serving.

Notes

- Ensure water level in the larger baking dish is maintained to prevent custard from drying out.
- For richer flavor, use homemade eggnog.
- Serve chilled or at room temperature, garnished with whipped cream if desired.
