  • 1 bag frozen tater tots Use fresh potatoes if preferred, but may increase cooking time.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup Cream of celery soup can be used for variation.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese Cheddar works well, but mozzarella or pepper jack can be used.
  • to taste Salt and pepper Season to personal preference.
  • Optional diced onions or bell peppers Add for extra flavor and nutrition.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread the beef mixture evenly in a baking dish.
Assembly
  1. Layer tater tots on top of the beef mixture.
  2. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the tater tots.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for about 30-35 minutes, until the tater tots are golden brown and cheese is melted.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
