Preparation
- Place the sliced strawberries in a bowl, add the sugar, and stir well to coat. Cover and let sit in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes until the sugar dissolves and the strawberries become syrupy.
Assembly
- In each serving bowl, place a cake cup at the bottom. Generously top with the macerated strawberries.
- Add a layer of whipped cream on top of each bowl. Serve immediately.
