- Season the beef chuck roast generously with salt and pepper.
- Slice the onion and mince the garlic, then layer them at the bottom of your slow cooker.
- Place the seasoned beef on top of the onions and garlic.
- Pour in the beef broth, diced tomatoes, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover the slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is fork-tender.
- Once the cooking time is up, shred the beef with two forks and gently stir it into the flavorful sauce.
- Serve your savory beef mixture over slices of bread and optionally with a scoop of creamy mashed potatoes on the side.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider searing the beef before slow cooking, or adding a splash of balsamic vinegar or mustard. Leftovers can be refrigerated for 3-4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
