Ingredients

For the Skillet
  • 1/2 LB steak, sliced in long strips, against the grain Consider marinating for at least 30 minutes for better flavor.
  • 2 packets ramen noodles, spice packets removed Prepare according to package directions.
  • 1/2 head broccoli florets, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup onion, sliced into medium pieces with layers separated
  • 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 tsp ginger, minced
  • 2 tsp garlic, minced
  • 3/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp oil For sautéing

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, and beef broth. Mix well and set aside.
  2. In another bowl, mix the cornstarch with water and set that aside as well.
  3. Prepare the ramen noodles according to the package directions, leaving out the provided spice packets.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the steak to the pan, ensuring it sizzles as it cooks quickly. Stir constantly for even cooking.
  3. Once the beef is halfway cooked, toss in the sliced onions and continue to sauté at high heat.
  4. When the beef is cooked through and the onions are starting to become tender, add the broccoli and cook until bright green.
  5. Mix in the drained ramen noodles, which you can cut in half for easier handling. Combine everything thoroughly.
  6. Pour the sauce over the ingredients, ensuring that it coats everything evenly.
  7. Finally, add the cornstarch mixture while stirring constantly until the sauce thickens and clings to your meals.
