Ingredients

For the sandwiches
  • 2 cans Pilsbury crescent dough
  • 12 pieces deli ham
  • 8 slices Pepper Jack cheese for a little heat
  • 1-2 tablespoons Dijon mustard to taste
  • 3-4 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced or dried garlic

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the crescent dough and pinch the seams together so it forms one large sheet.
  3. Line a 7 x 11 baking dish with nonstick spray or parchment paper for easy removal.
  4. Place the rolled dough into the dish and bake for 10-15 minutes until golden brown. Remove from oven.
  5. Spread Dijon mustard evenly across the baked dough.
  6. Layer four slices of Pepper Jack cheese on top of the mustard.
  7. Fold each slice of ham in half and arrange them on the cheese.
  8. Add the remaining cheese slices over the ham.
  9. Roll out the second batch of crescent dough and place it gently atop the cheese layer.
  10. Melt butter, mix in parsley and garlic, and brush this mixture over the top layer of dough.
  11. Bake the assembly for an additional 20-25 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  12. Allow it to cool for about 5 minutes before slicing into squares or rectangles.
