Ingredients
  

Brownie Mixture
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened natural)
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a 9”X9” square metal baking pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy removal later.
  2. Melt the butter and then allow it to cool slightly while you prepare the other ingredients.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gently mix in the eggs, stirring just until they are fully incorporated. Avoid over-whisking these ingredients.
  5. Add the dry ingredients—baking soda, salt, flour, and cocoa powder—to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the chocolate chips; you want to maintain a thick batter.
  7. Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
Baking
  1. Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes. The brownies are done when the edges look set and the top appears slightly puffy. A toothpick inserted in the center should come out with moist crumbs attached, not clean.
  2. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for 30 minutes before cutting into squares.
