Ingredients
  

For the Cupcakes
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix Feel free to use a gluten-free version if needed.
  • as required each Eggs (as required by cake mix)
  • as required cup Oil (as required by cake mix)
  • as required cup Water (as required by cake mix)
For Decoration
  • 2 cups white frosting Store-bought or homemade.
  • 24 pieces chocolate chips or mini chocolate chips For the eyes of the ghosts.
  • 12 pieces marshmallows Used to create the ghost shape.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven according to the instructions on the cake mix box.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix with the required eggs, oil, and water, following the package instructions.
  3. Fill cupcake liners with the prepared batter, ensuring they’re no more than two-thirds full.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Once baked, allow the cupcakes to cool completely on a wire rack.
Decorating
  1. Generously frost each cupcake with white frosting to create a ghostly look.
  2. For the eyes, place two chocolate chips on each cupcake, pushing them gently into the frosting.
  3. Optional: Place a marshmallow on top of the frosting for added texture and whimsy.
