  • 2 tubes refrigerated cinnamon rolls (8 cinnamon rolls each — 351 grams or 12 oz) Reserve the frosting for later use.
  • 1/4 cup salted butter (melted) Can use plant-based butter for a dairy-free version.
  • 3/4 cup milk Almond milk can be used for a dairy-free option.
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup Agave syrup or honey can be used as substitutes.
  • 4 large eggs Use room temperature for fluffier texture.
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon Adjust amount according to taste.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and lightly spray a 9x13" baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Pour in the melted butter or place the stick of butter in the pan in the oven until melted.
  3. Remove the cinnamon rolls from the package, reserving the frosting for later.
  4. Cut the cinnamon rolls into ¾” pieces and place them in the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a bowl, whisk together the milk, pure maple syrup, eggs, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  6. Pour the mixture evenly over the cinnamon roll pieces in the dish.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25–35 minutes until the casserole is light golden brown and puffed.
  2. Let it cool for 10–15 minutes, then drizzle the top with the reserved frosting before serving.
