  • 1 loaf French bread Loaf of French bread
  • 1/2 cup salted butter (softened) Soften the butter before mixing
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced) Use fresh garlic for better flavor
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup Colby Jack cheese (shredded) Shredded Colby Jack cheese
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded) Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish) Garnish with parsley if desired

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Cut the French bread loaf lengthwise and place it cut-side up on a baking sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, garlic powder, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Spread this mixture evenly on each side of the bread.
  5. Top the bread with the shredded Colby Jack and mozzarella cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes until the butter is melted and the cheese is bubbly.
  2. For an extra crisp top, you can broil it for 1-2 minutes at the end.
Serving
  1. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley if desired and serve hot from the oven.

Notes
