Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter, and then remove it from heat and stir in the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Add in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder, and mix until well combined.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, beat together the cheesecake ingredients until smooth.
- Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake batter over the brownie layer and swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the brownie part comes out clean.
- Let cool before slicing into squares and serving.
