Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix together the Dr Pepper, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, stirring in the vanilla extract afterward.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually stir the dry mixture into the Dr Pepper blend until everything is well integrated.
- If desired, fold in the chocolate chips for an extra chocolatey treat.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before cutting into squares for serving.
