  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder Use high-quality cocoa for richer flavor.
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup unsalted butter Melt before mixing.
  • 1 cup Coca Cola Regular or a flavored variety can be used.
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs At room temperature.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Confectioners' sugar (for dusting, optional)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter and Coca Cola together over medium heat, stirring until smooth.
  4. Pour the Coca Cola mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  5. Add the buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the batter, stirring until smooth.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Allow the cake to cool before dusting with confectioners' sugar if desired.
  3. Slice and serve either warm or at room temperature.

Notes
