Ingredients
  

Meat and Pasta
  • 1/2 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 pound rotini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
Fresh Ingredients
  • 1/2 piece yellow sweet pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 small white onion, diced
  • 1/2 pint grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 head iceberg lettuce, shredded
Cheese and Dressings
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup French dressing
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
Toppings
  • 1 1/2 cups nacho cheese Doritos, crushed

Method
 

Cooking the Beef
  1. In a pan over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain all excess grease except for about 3 tablespoons.
  2. Stir in the taco seasoning and let it simmer briefly before removing it from heat.
Cooking the Pasta
  1. Cook the rotini pasta according to the package instructions, drain, and set aside.
Mixing the Salad
  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped sweet pepper, diced onion, halved grape tomatoes, cooked pasta, and taco beef mixture.
  2. Add the shredded cheddar cheese, iceberg lettuce, French dressing, and sour cream. Toss everything together until well combined.
  3. Finish by topping off the salad with crushed nacho cheese Doritos. Adjust the seasoning if needed and serve!
