Preparation
- Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, combine the barbecue sauce, Italian dressing, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are thoroughly coated.
Cooking
- Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the slow cooker and use two forks to shred it.
- Return the shredded chicken back to the crockpot and stir it with the remaining sauce to mix well.
- Allow the chicken to cook for an additional 15–20 minutes to absorb all those flavors.
Serving
- Serve the BBQ chicken on buns, over rice, or with your favorite side dishes.
