  1. In a 5-quart or larger slow cooker, add the chicken breasts, 1 ½ cups of BBQ sauce, and apple butter.
  2. Cover and set the slow cooker to high for 3-4 hours or on low for 5-7 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  3. Once cooked, use a fork to shred the chicken right in the slow cooker.
  4. Stir in the remaining ½ cup of BBQ sauce until everything is well combined.
  5. Serve immediately or store for later!
