Thickening and Seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch For thickening the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon water To mix with corn starch.

Garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Begin by placing the chicken thighs in the Crock Pot.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine bourbon, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and ginger.
  3. Pour this mixture over the chicken, ensuring each piece is coated.
Cooking
  1. Cover and set your Crock Pot to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  2. In the last 30 minutes, create a slurry by mixing corn starch and water. Stir it into the cooking sauce to thicken.
  3. Before serving, season your dish with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve the bourbon chicken warm, garnished with chopped green onions.
