Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Place a wire rack on top of the lined baking sheet.
- Lay the bacon slices in a single layer on the wire rack.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the brown sugar, maple syrup, hot sauce, cracked black pepper, cayenne pepper, and cinnamon until smooth.
- With a pastry brush, coat both sides of each bacon slice with the sugar and spice mixture.
- If desired, sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts over the bacon.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, keeping an eye on it to prevent burning.
- Once caramelized and crispy, remove from oven and allow to cool on the rack for about 5 minutes.
Serving
- Transfer bacon to a serving platter and enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes
