Ingredients
  

Cracker Base
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Properly measured for best results.
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Use freshly grated for best flavor.
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter Keeps crackers flaky; use cold.
  • 2 tablespoons Cold Water Avoid gluten development by keeping cold.
Seasoning Blend
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Italian Herb Blend Customize or use a pre-mixed blend.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder Avoid garlic salt for salt control.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt Using kosher or sea salt is recommended.
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Use freshly ground for best flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, Parmesan, Italian herbs, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Cut the cold butter into the mixture using a pastry cutter or your fingers until crumbly.
  4. Gradually add cold water, mixing until the dough just comes together.
  5. On a floured surface, roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thick.
  6. Cut into desired shapes and place on a lined baking sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and crispy.
  2. Allow to cool on a wire rack before serving.

Notes
