Ingredients

For the salmon
  • 4 pieces salmon fillets (skin-on)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish)
For the glaze
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce Can substitute with coconut aminos for a gluten-free option.
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced) Increase if you prefer a stronger garlic flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Rinse the salmon fillets under cold water and pat them dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until well combined to form the glaze.
Cooking
  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet skin-side down. Cook for about 4 minutes, or until the skin is golden brown and crispy.
  3. Carefully flip the fillets over. Brush half of the glaze over the top of the salmon.
  4. Continue to cook for an additional 3-4 minutes or until the salmon reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  5. Drizzle the remaining glaze over the salmon and garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
