Ingredients
Method
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Gently loosen the skin from the chicken using your thumb. Grab the skin with a dry paper towel and pull it off.
- In a shallow basin, combine the flour and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the egg and milk briskly to break up the egg.
- In a large ziplock bag, combine the bread crumbs, salt, paprika, oregano, onion powder, garlic powder, basil, and pepper.
- Dredge the chicken in flour, followed by the egg mixture.
- Place the drumsticks in the zipper bag, seal it, and shake to coat the chicken.
- Pour the melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish. Turn the chicken in the dish to coat it with the butter.
- Bake the chicken for 25 minutes, then flip it over and bake for another 25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through
Notes
- Pat Dry: Ensure the drumsticks are thoroughly pat-dried before seasoning to promote crispiness during baking.
- Even Coating: Coat the drumsticks evenly with your preferred seasoning or breading for consistent flavor and texture.
- Use a Wire Rack: Place a wire rack on the baking sheet to elevate the drumsticks, allowing air circulation for an all-around crispiness.
