- Start by patting the chicken wings very dry with paper towels.
- In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil.
- In a separate bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Mix well and then toss the wings with the seasoning until evenly coated.
- Set your air fryer to preheat at 380°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
- Place the seasoned wings in a single layer inside the air fryer basket.
- Cook the wings at 380°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, making sure to flip them halfway through the cooking time.
- If desired, increase the temperature to 400°F (200°C) for the last 3-5 minutes to achieve extra crispy skin.
- Ensure the wings are golden brown and have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for safe eating.
- Remove the wings from the air fryer and serve them immediately, with your choice of sauce if desired.
