Method
Preparation
- Begin by washing and scrubbing your potatoes thoroughly; keeping the skins on adds texture.
- Use a sharp knife or mandoline slicer to cut the potatoes into ¼-inch thick slices.
Soaking
- Soak the potato slices in a bowl of cold water for about 15-20 minutes.
- After soaking, drain the potatoes and pat them completely dry with a towel.
Seasoning
- In a large bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil and the seasonings—salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, and oregano.
- Ensure all slices are evenly coated for the best flavor.
Cooking
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes.
- Arrange the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure not to overlap them.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
Serving
- Once they’re done, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and let them cool slightly.
- If desired, sprinkle with a bit more salt and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer to regain crunch. You can freeze uncooked potato slices for longer storage.
