Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or red) Other types like russets can be used for fluffier texture.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Can substitute with avocado oil, vegetable oil, or melted ghee.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Smoked paprika adds depth.
  • to taste salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • optional fresh parsley for garnish Adds color and a fresh finish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and dry the potatoes. Leave the skins on for more texture and nutrients.
  2. Cut the potatoes into 1-inch cubes for even cooking. Smaller pieces crispen faster.
  3. Pat the cubes dry with a towel to remove surface moisture.
  4. Toss the potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes if your model recommends preheating.
  2. Arrange potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, avoiding overcrowding.
  3. Air-fry at 400°F for 18–22 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping the potatoes every 5–7 minutes.
  4. Check for tenderness with a fork and remove once edges are golden and crisp.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning before garnishing with chopped parsley, if using. Serve immediately.

Notes

For crispy results, keep steps short and active: cut, dry, toss, cook. Always ensure to reheat leftovers to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) for food safety.
