Ingredients

Potato Ingredients
  • 4 pieces potatoes, cut into bite-sized pieces (Yukon Gold or red potatoes work well) Russets give extra fluff inside.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Substitute with avocado oil or light olive oil for higher smoke point.
Seasoning Ingredients
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon pepper Freshly cracked if possible.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika Smoked paprika gives a deeper flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash and cut potatoes into even bite-sized pieces (about 1-inch). Dry them thoroughly with a towel.
  2. Soak cut potatoes in cold water for 15–30 minutes if desired, then drain and pat completely dry.
  3. Place potatoes in a bowl. Add olive oil and seasonings. Toss until evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2–3 minutes if your model recommends preheating.
  2. Arrange potatoes in the basket in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding; cook in batches if necessary.
  3. Air fry at 400°F for 15–20 minutes, shaking the basket or flipping potatoes at the 8–10 minute mark. Cook until edges are golden and interiors are tender.
Serving
  1. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve immediately for the crispiest texture.
