Preparation
- Scrub the potatoes and dry them well. Peel if you prefer, then cut into 1-inch cubes or evenly sized wedges.
- Optional: Soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 15–30 minutes to remove excess starch, then drain and pat completely dry.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, toss the dried potato pieces with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the potatoes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, being careful not to overcrowd.
- Cook at 400°F for 16–22 minutes, shaking or turning the basket at 8–10 minutes.
- Check doneness by piercing a piece with a fork; it should be tender inside and crisp outside. If needed, add an additional 2–4 minutes.
Serving
- Transfer to a serving dish, taste and adjust salt. Serve immediately with a squeeze of lemon, chopped parsley, or your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes
For extra crispiness, cut into smaller, uniform cubes. Store cooled leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days. Reheat in the air fryer for best results.
