Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb chicken wings, tips removed and separated into flats and drumettes (about 10-12 wings)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (aluminum-free for best results)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional; for a smoky flavor)
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 spray cooking spray or a light drizzle of oil To aid crispiness

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for that crispy texture.
  2. Rinse and pat dry the chicken wings thoroughly. The drier they are, the crispier they'll become.
  3. In a large bowl, combine baking powder, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and black pepper. Toss the wings in this mixture until evenly coated.
  4. Lightly spray the wings with cooking spray or drizzle with oil to help achieve a golden brown finish.
  5. Place the chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through for even crispiness.
  6. Once golden and crispy, remove the wings and let them cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
