Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs chicken wings (flats & drumettes separated)
  • 1 tbsp baking powder (aluminum-free)
  • 1 tsp salt Adjust for low-sodium preference.
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
Optional Glaze Ingredients
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce Use gluten-free if desired.
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Method

Preparation
  1. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
  2. Toss the wings with baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until well coated.
  3. Let the seasoned wings sit at room temperature for 15 minutes, or refrigerate uncovered for up to 8 hours.
Air Frying
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 3 minutes.
  2. Arrange the wings in a single layer and cook for 12 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 10-12 minutes, until they are golden and reach an internal temperature of at least 165°F (74°C).
  3. For an extra crispy finish, crank the temperature up to 400°F (204°C) and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
Glazing & Serving
  1. Whisk together the optional glaze ingredients (honey, soy sauce, melted butter, and minced garlic).
  2. Toss the hot wings in the glaze or serve it as a side for dipping. Enjoy them immediately for the best texture.
