Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 tubes Crescent Roll Tubes
  • 1 package 8 oz of Philly cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons butter, fully melted
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup regular white sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
For the Glaze
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 4 teaspoons milk

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, use a mixer to combine the softened cream cheese, lemon juice, pure vanilla extract, and white sugar until well-mixed. Set aside.
  3. Open the crescent roll tubes without unrolling them. Use a sharp knife to slice them into thick pieces.
  4. Lay each slice on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
  5. With your fingers or a small measuring cup, form a little wall around the edge of each slice to hold the filling.
Assembly
  1. In a separate bowl, brush melted butter over each danish and mix in the light brown sugar. Brush this mixture generously over the danishes.
  2. Dollop a generous amount of the cream cheese filling into the center of each danish.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 16-18 minutes, until the edges are golden brown.
  2. Once out of the oven, let the danishes cool before drizzling with the glaze made from powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk.
