- Repeat the layering process with the remaining potatoes, ham, and cream.
Baking
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle cheese on top if desired, and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
