  • 8 oz cream cheese Softened for easier mixing
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 jalapeños, diced (optional) Adjust according to spice preference
  • 2 tbsp cilantro, chopped Plus additional for garnish
  • 1 tbsp lime juice Freshly squeezed preferred
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and shredded cheddar cheese until smooth and well incorporated.
  2. Add the taco seasoning mix, salsa, green onions, jalapeños, cilantro, lime juice, salt, and pepper to the cheese mixture. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients evenly.
  3. Taste the dip and adjust the seasonings according to your preference.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the dip for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld together and develop.
  5. Before serving, garnish the dip with additional chopped cilantro and a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Serve with Doritos.

Notes

For a lighter version, you can use Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. You can customize the spice level by adding more or fewer jalapeños. Letting the dip sit for longer than an hour allows the flavors to deepen even more. If you have leftovers, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days.
