Ingredients

  • 3-4 large Cucumbers (peeled, sliced)
  • 1 Sweet onion (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon Salt
  • 1.5 cups Mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Dried dill or fresh dill 1 tablespoon fresh
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • Kosher salt To taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, toss the sliced cucumbers and onions with salt. Cover and let them sit for 15–30 minutes.
  2. Transfer the mixture to a colander and drain, stirring occasionally until most moisture is gone (about 15–30 minutes).
Make the Dressing
  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, dill, garlic powder, and pepper until smooth.
Combine & Chill
  1. Add the drained cucumbers and onions to the dressing. Stir to coat evenly. Taste and adjust salt if needed.
Chill & Serve
  1. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes
