  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • a pinch nutmeg

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Start by melting the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the finely diced onions and sauté until they’re translucent, about two minutes.
  3. Sprinkle in the flour, stirring continuously until it’s absorbed.
  4. Gradually whisk in the half and half, ensuring a smooth mixture.
  5. Bring this creamy concoction to a gentle boil.
  6. Season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of nutmeg.
  7. Stir in the frozen peas, ensuring they’re well-coated with the sauce.
  8. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the peas are tender, stirring occasionally.
  9. Serve immediately for maximum creaminess!
