Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9x5 loaf pan with non-stick spray.
- In a smaller bowl, whisk together 1 cup of flour, baking soda, and salt. Set this aside.
- In a larger bowl, mix together the melted butter, 3/4 cup sugar, milk, vanilla, and eggs until well combined.
- Mash the bananas in a separate bowl and fold them into the wet mixture.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until combined.
- For the cream cheese filling, whip together the softened cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of flour until smooth.
Baking
- Pour half of the banana bread batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Dollop the cream cheese mixture over the batter, followed by the remaining banana batter.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
