Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Chop the shrimp into bite-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, softened cream cheese, shredded mozzarella, chopped parsley, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Mix thoroughly until well blended.
- Slice the Italian bread loaf in half lengthwise and carefully hollow out the center of each half, leaving enough bread around the edges to support the filling.
Cooking
- Distribute the seafood mixture evenly between the hollowed bread halves, gently pressing the filling into each cavity.
- Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Brush the outside of each bread half with melted butter.
- Wrap the bread tightly in aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes on a baking tray.
- After 15 minutes, remove the foil and return the bread halves to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crisp.
Serving
- Allow the bread to cool for a few minutes, slice into portions, and serve warm.
